Azure Detour

I was all set to take my AZ-104 back in August. I studied hard. I took practice test. Completed practice labs. Purchased course to supplement the holes in my knowledge. And after all of that, you know what stopped me.

An expired license.

An expired license and it all fell by apart. I stopped engaging in the material and slowly started pivoting to complete my app.

Which I did and it launched earlier this month and it has gotten me to question to whether I should keep building or pursue that elusive Azure certification.

I still want to learn the Cloud and all its fundamentals but building apps has been a worthwhile experience as well. Seeing something you built from scratch go live and actually work? That's a different kind of high.

And now, here I am, questioning everything. Should I keep riding that builder's high, pushing my new app to its full potential? Or should take a step back a consider Azure since it is a more viable option?

I still want to learn the Cloud and all its fundamentals, understanding the backbone of modern tech because it isn’t going anywhere. But building apps, bringing ideas to life with code, has been an equally compelling journey. It feels less like studying for a test and more like forging something tangible.

Maybe it's not an either/or. Maybe the skills gained from one feed the other. Or maybe, just maybe, I should just get a new driver's license first.
