The Influence of Influencers

Get a job within 3 months they say. You’ll make over 100k if you just follow these steps and if that job doesn’t offer that or over, you shouldn’t take that offer, they say.

What a load of bull, I say.

And I speak that from experience.

When I first begin my journey into tech, I was promised riches beyond my wildest dreams and in such a short amount of time, if I just got a job in tech.

And when their deadline passed, I was crushed.

Wasn’t it supposed to happen when they said? But I’m here to tell you it doesn’t. Sure it could for some people but that number is extremely low. Breaking into tech is hard and its even harder when you have people selling you false hope.

And you want so badly to believe because of desperation.

But here is the reality.

It is hard.

It is soul crushing

It is frustration.

It is failure.

But because of these things, you are going to figure out who you actually are. Will you quit when it becomes to much? Or will you forge ahead and come to conclusion that you are bigger than the influences of these influencers?

Will you let there words haunt you or will you figure out that your path is your own? And that no one can walk it for you?

There are all type of people who will try to deceive and trick you for there own personal gain but you have to remind steadfast in the notion that the things that are hard will take time.

They will take patience.

They will take determination.

They will take focus.

And these are the things that influencers can’t take away from you.
