My First App

Maybe not my last

In partnership with

I’ve finally published my first web app.

I know that this comes out of the blue but I have been working at it for over a year and I’d never thought I actually complete this app.

I quit numerous times. I was hung up on if anybody needed it and if I was wasting my time. I stopped in frustration because I couldn’t figure out a bug. But none of that matters now because I have reached the mountain top.

And I intend to savor this feeling for a while but while I savor it, let me tell you my biggest takeaway:

Just Build

This is the biggest lesson, and it’s the hardest one to follow. Just Build means cutting through the paralysis of perfectionism and self-doubt. And trust me I had plenty. Will anyone want it? What if I don’t have any good features? Worse, what if there are bugs?

So, what

Just build.

Stop asking if the world needs your app. You need your app. You need the journey, the struggle, the frustration, and the eventual triumph. The finished product is simply proof that you conquered your own doubts and executed your idea. That feeling of reaching the mountain top, the feeling I have right now, is 100% worth the climb. Now go build yours.

And while you’re climbing that mountain, make a stop and checkout my app: https://www.degentrackers.com/

P.S.

Any suggestions would be helpful!

No, go build!
