Testing in 3, 2, 1...

AZ-104

In partnership with

I scheduled to take my AZ-104 this past weekend.

The good news is I didn’t fail but I also didn’t pass either. I couldn’t even take the test. My license had expired and they refused to admit me. When I first heard the news, I was frustrated. I just wanted it to be over with. I wanted to know if my studying had paid off.

But as I went through the forums of trying to find a work around for the license issue, I noticed that a lot of people had failed.

And maybe that could have been me.

I then started to realize that this was a gift in disguise. I got a second chance. I got more time. More time to study, more time to prepare, and more time to strengthen the areas where I felt shaky. Because truthfully, there were still topics I wanted to review one more time before test day. It’s not to say I wasn’t ready, it was that maybe I could use one more week to prepare.

Sometimes life forces a pause when you’re eager to press play. And while it’s annoying in the moment, it can actually save you from rushing into something you’re not ready for.

So now, instead of feeling embarrassed, I’m leaning into the delay. The test will still be there. Azure isn’t going anywhere. And when I finally sit for the AZ-104, I want to walk in feeling more confident. This weekend wasn’t the one I envisioned but maybe it happened because I needed it to!
